Summer in Colorado

I need to catch up on our life!! I haven't really had time to blog and our plans have also changed a ton. We still don't really have our plans set in stone yet....so more on that to come!

We moved to Colorado after getting home from Bali because we thought we were moving to Detroit (yikes I know) in January. I knew that I wouldn't be able to teach for only half a year and Andrew would still be traveling weekly, so we moved to Colorado so I would have my family to be with during the week. It's been a lot of fun living with family, we've probably played atleast 5,000 rounds of Rook since we've been here! We love seeing our nephews everyday too!

Bry's favorite part of the house is the office so he can look out the window all day!

Unfortunately it rained most of July here. Normally everyone is praying for rain to help the drought each summer but this year it poured practically every day, which made it hard to do anything outdoors. We soaked up any nice weather days by being outside hiking and exploring around the beautiful places Colorado has to offer. Seriously never gets old how pretty it is here!
Hiking Red Rock Canyon

In the beginning of July Andrew played with the Cougs (some BYU alumni) in the World Lacrosse tournament. It was fun to watch them all play together again! And of course he still looks just as good while doing it!! He's such a stud.

We celebrated Andrew's 26th birthday in July as well. Even though it was HIS birthday he had me get the cake that I wanted. He is so sweet to me. I tried to surprise him by buying an Xbox One without him knowing...but of course I'm not the best at hiding things. He saw me texting my brother about it so the surprise was ruined. :( I'm sure one of these birthdays I'll get the surprise down! Can't believe he's closer to 30 than 20 now!! He's even starting to get a few gray hairs here and there haha

The end of July Jordan & Kaci got married in the Denver temple. The rain decided to stop just in time for the wedding and it was SO HOT AND SUNNY! Everyone was trying not to squint in the pictures!!

We took Ethan and Teigan to Garden of the Gods one day to hike and found out they were afraid of heights haha. People probably thought they were our kids and that we were torturing them. Andrew kept trying to get them to climb or stand on a rock and they would throw a fit. It was hilarious.

You can tell how scared Ethan was by looking at his face! They were like 2 feet off the ground lol. And I also love how high his shorts are riding up when Andrew picked him up!

And anytime I drop them off after a date with me, this is how they have to get inside because the keypad is too tall for them to reach on their own. It makes me laugh everytime! I love these boys, they are the best of friends!
Remember how I said it rained pretty much everyday?! Yep it continued....my sweet husband went to pull up the car closer for me after church one day but also walked in with an umbrella so I didn't get a drop of rain on me. It's okay to brag about how amazing he is if it's on my own blog right?! Cause he definitely deserves the credit!

This post is getting so long.....but that's what happens when I don't blog forever! Ryan turned ONE on August 29th. It has been so so fun to be here while he's been little. I've loved seeing him crawl, stand, walk, run, start to talk, etc. He is obsessed with Mickey Mouse so of course that was his theme at the party. He is too adorable and we all can't get enough of him.

Overall we had such a great summer here in Colorado with our family. Sure love this family of mine so much!
