We are moving to Charlotte the end of March and couldn't be more excited!! Since Andrew travels a lot for work, he basically said I could find a school wherever and if I got in we could move there. Last post I talked about moving to myrtle beach, but after looking into my options I decided I wanted to just get my Bachelor's of nursing right away and the school in Myrtle was only an Associate's degree.
So I applied to a school in Charlotte, charleston, and Tennessee because they were all quick programs and I didn't have to take any other tests/classes to apply. I was really hoping for Charlotte to work out the most because it's only a 12 month program (compared to 15 for the other two) and it starts in May whereas the others started in August. It seemed like a no brainer to want to go to Charlotte. They said I'd hear back by the end of February but I got accepted the first week in February and was so excited! We immediately started looking at moving, housing options, etc. Starting May 18th I'll be a student at Queens University! I'm really so nervous but excited!
After getting accepted to school, we looked at literally thousands of houses online. Out of all the houses we looked at we only really found two we liked. One of them we LOVED in a cul-da-sac right on the golf course and the other was just a back up. Thankfully jord and Kaci came down from Raleigh to look at the houses for us and we put an offer on the house we loved and after 3 different offers, finally got it to where we wanted it. :) as long as everything goes well with the inspection and appraisal it will be ours!
Other than figuring out our plans, we've gotten to be with both sets of families recently! It's been so great living with my family and being with my sister and nephews so much. My cute nephew Ethan turned 8 and got baptized the end of January. He sang a song that all of us kids sang at our baptisms too which was really tender, especially for my mom.
so stinkin cute!
Then the first week in February we flew to Utah for Michael and Tiffany's sealing. We took advantage of being in Utah and went skiing with bro John which was a blast like usual. Skiing is always one of our favorite things to do. The weather was super warm but the snow was still okay thankfully. The next day we took Addie snow tubing at soldier hollow which was pretty funny because we went sooo slow due to how warm it was! The snow was so slushy but she had a blast so we were all happy. It was too short of a trip with family but always so great to be together since we don't get to see the Harding family nearly as much as we'd like.
Wow! So exciting!!! Beautiful house! I can't wait to hear about your program! And you'll be done in May! Doesn't get much better than that.
ReplyDeleteAhhh Jess I know, I'm so glad I found a program that's just 1 year but I'm sure I'll be texting you dying at some point haha I'm nervous!!
