It's hard to believe Andrew finished his last season of lacrosse in May. It's been such a huge part of our life together that it almost seems weird! I've been to almost every one of his games over the last 3 seasons and now it's over. It's definitely bitter sweet for Andrew. He no longer has to wake up at 5 A.M. to go to practice everyday and he doesn't have bumps, cuts, and bruises all over his body anymore but he loved playing.
The national championship was held in South Carolina this year from Monday-Saturday. Unfortunately I was still teaching, so I couldn't go to the first two games. I was just hoping they would win both games so I could at least see him play one last time. The games were pretty close in score at times and hard for me to just read the twitter updates, but they ended up winning both! I flew out there on Wednesday and met up with my mother-in-law and grandma-in-law. They are the best lax trip roomies! The team played CSU on Thursday night. Unfortunately we lost to them in the semi-finals but I was just glad I was able to see Andrew and the rest of the team play one last time. It was pretty sad, but Andrew was a good sport about it. I went over to him after the game and said I was sorry and he said it's okay because he has a great life ahead of him. "Great wife and a great job to look forward to". He is so great!

Since they lost on Thursday night, we had Friday and Saturday to kind of do whatever and explore South Carolina. So Friday Dawn, Lauris, Andrew and I went up to hike the Whitewater Falls. It was so pretty!
Saturday we went shopping and to a delicious Mexican restaurant that Andrew's grandma and grandpa used to go to all the time. Then we went and had a team picnic at a park that night.

sure love this man so much! |
And of course when you have lots of guys together this is something they would do...find a turtle and feed it some dinner.
It was a nice little break from school and it was even better knowing that when I got home I only had 1 more week of teaching before summer vacation! I'm so proud of Andrew and all of his hard work over the many years he played lacrosse. He is such a stud!
