What a wonderful wedding week!!!

I don’t think the last week we’ve had could have gotten any better!  Andrew and I have been counting down the days to May 14th since getting engaged August 26th.

My mom and I drove out to DC a week early to get all settled and ready for the wedding.  It was so fun spending time with just my mom, especially having her to talk and laugh with the whole 27-hour car ride across country!  We were able to stop in St. Louis for some shopping and lunch to celebrate my 21st birthday and Mother’s Day along the way!  Our main priority once we got to DC was getting our marriage license.

                                                              Me with our marriage license!

All the Harding girls are so wonderful and threw me a birthday/bridal party in D.C before the rest of the fam got in to town!  It was so fun getting to be with all the girls before all the wedding festivities took place!
love my new sister Rach and niece Addie!

famous & delicious Georgetown cupcakes! so yummy.

The day before the wedding was such a special day.  Andrew and I went through the temple together for the first time and had my whole family there as well as lots and lots of his family and extended family right there with us.  I loved looking around the room and seeing two families who love us so much and there supporting us.

love

We celebrated afterwards by eating at the delicious Mongolian BBQ!

Friday night, the 13th, we had a big dinner together at the Harding's house with all our family members and close friends.  It was so fun to unite two families who have so much fun together!  We both are so lucky to have married into such great families!!!

May 14th was the best day of my life!  I have been waiting to be married in the temple since I was a little girl and was so excited to marry Andrew I could hardly sleep at all the whole night before.

                                                                      Beautiful DC Temple

It was a really early morning for us because we were getting married at 9 in the morning, but had to be there an hour early!  I had a hair appointment at 6 A.M., and our hotel was 30 minutes away from the hair salon so needless to say, I had to get up pretty early!  The ceremony was beautiful.  It was an amazing feeling being sealed to my husband for eternity and kissing across the altar knowing I'll be with him forever.  My heart burned with happiness throughout the whole ceremony.  Walking out of the temple as husband and wife was so exciting!  The rain held off for us to take lots of pictures by our amazing photographer!  Everything is so so so green in Maryland, I loved being outside taking pictures.

                                                                      my handsome husband and me!

After taking pictures, we headed straight to a restaurant called La Ferme where we had our first amazing reception.  It was so fun to meet all the people that have known and loved Andrew for so long.  We had delicious food and a great time celebrating!  After the reception, Andrew and I headed to Paris.....unfortunately not the real Paris, but a city called Paris in Virginia.  We stayed the night at this darling  little hotel and had a yummy dinner together just as newly husband and wife.  We love being married!!

The next morning, we wanted to be a part of our new niece's baby blessing, so we headed back to Maryland for Addie's baby blessing.  It was a beautiful blessing and the perfect way to end our lovely weekend.

so tired from all the early mornings! well worth it though :)

We stayed in Maryland until the 16th, and then headed back to Colorado because Andrew and the BYU lacrosse team had their playoffs in Denver.  We stayed a few nights in Denver and a few nights in the Springs.  We had to plan the Colorado reception around the championship game in case they made it that far.  Turns out they did, so we had the Colorado reception in the afternoon on the 21st and then went straight up to Denver for the game afterwards.  The reception was BEAUTIFUL!! My lovely mother and sister did it all.  Kellie is so talented and made the most delicious food. (pictures to come!!)  I have the best family in the world.  Thanks for all you guys did for me to make our wedding so beautiful and memorable.

It wasn't the typical first week spent after just getting married, but it was SO worth it to see the team win 4 games in a row and win the National Championship!!!  My babe is such a stud.

Life honestly couldn't get any better!  We love being married and are so excited to be honeymooning and making more memories in Bermuda tomorrow for the week!!!!

*more wedding pictures to come after the honeymoon!
