12 Days of Christmas!

December was such a fun month for us! Since we were going to be in DC for Christmas, we decided to spoil each other and do the 12 days of Christmas together! We have never done this before and it was SO fun! We tried to correlate the presents for each of the days... but sometimes it turned out to be just a present a day and neither of us complained about that!! :)

getting some of the presents under the tree
We started with the 12th day and went backwards so we could save the bigger present for the 1st day to open right before we left for vacation!

12th day--stretching it a bit by getting him a new modded Xbox controller he had been wanting that has 12 buttons  on it.
12th day-- 12 pairs of running socks

11th day--11 of Andrew's favorite treats and 2 pairs of tights and an avocado slicer for me!
10th day-- $10 to some of his favorite fast food places- McDonalds and Betos!
Neither of us had gotten anything yet for the 9th day, so we decided to just upgrade our living room TV to the 3D TV. We love it and the 3D TV is definitely not overrated!! It's awesome because you can make any show, movie, video game into 3D. At first I was worried because sometimes I get a headache from watching movies in 3D in the theaters, but this is not like that at all. Love it! We also got a new TV for our bedroom with Apple TV and mounted it on the wall. It's been so nice watching movies and some of my shows while laying in bed. I've also loved the Airplay feature with apple tv so we can play music from our phone through the TV while we are getting ready or cleaning.

watching a 3D movie together!
8th day-- 8 pairs of dress socks
8th day for me--pair of gray boots in size 8
7th day-- 7 feet of laminate wrap for his skis. how cute is my man?!
before, during, and after of his skis!

7th day-- my cute husband just knew things I wanted so it kind of started going towards just a present a day from here! my darling new PJs
6th day-- 6 pairs  of clothing
trying on his new pants-- what a studly husband I have!
6th day-- this adorable scarf, a blazer, and bendable ruler! I'm lucky my man has some good taste!
5th day-- finally got us a waffle maker! And Andrew got me 5 pieces of clothing :)
4th day-- a robe in my favorite color! and a hair wrap. We didn't get a picture of Andrew, but I got him another 4 ft iphone cord to keep at work.

On the 3rd day of Christmas, I gave Andrew 3 random things. 1 bottle of De-Icer spray with a scraper for his car, and 2 rounds of golf.
2nd day-- new running shoes!
Andrew gave me 2 tickets to the Nutcracker.
1st day--Nike Golf bag! Andrew loves anything and everything related to golf if you haven't already noticed! This was so funny/sad because I went through so much work trying to keep this present a surprise. It's a little hard to Christmas shop for your husband when you share bank accounts and can see the purchases made. I knew he would know what I got him if he saw an expensive charge from a golf store, so I paid for it with 2 different amounts so he wouldn't know how much I spent. He saw that one purchase was like $40, so when he saw the charge, he thought it was a golf net! I was so proud of myself. Then when it arrived, I went through the trouble of wrapping the huge box, but forgot to hide the receipt that came with it! I left it on the kitchen table. When Andrew got home from work, he went over to the present under the tree, picked it up and said oh here's my golf net! Then a few minutes later I heard him say "Kristen!!" Immediately I knew that he had just looked at the receipt and was so sad that I ruined the surprise!! Oh well. I guess it will be a funny memory :)
On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave me to me.... these darling new carry on suitcases along with a plane ticket to DC in April to run the Nike women's half marathon with my sister and college bestie Brooke! I am so excited! Can't wait to have a fun trip with my girls!
We definitely spoiled each other rotten!! It was so fun getting to give each other and open a present every day for 12 days!  Can't wait to do this again next year!!
