BALI--3 year anniversary! {Part 2}

Our next stop in Bali was Nusa Dua. We stayed at The Laguna which was a beatiful hotel right on the ocean again. Thankfully with how much Andrew stays in hotels we lucked out by getting a suite for our entire stay at this hotel too. His traveling days have really made us into quite the snobs always having the best of the best!! I think we might be in trouble when he stops traveling as much... but it'll be worth it to have my husband back though!
greeted with some fruity drink and cold towels....not too shabby.

In Kuta there were so many things around to do, but in Nusa Dua it was kind of the opposite. The only things close were other hotels because it's meant to be a more luxurious and relaxing destination. We kind of missed having things close around to go do. Because of this most days were spent playing in the pool and ocean, sunbathing, reading, eating good food, playing lots and lots of card games (I'm the screw master champion, of course!), and making so many inside jokes and memories together!

Kuta was known for beautiful sunsets and Nusa Dua is known for its sunrises. So we woke up early to go lay at the beach and watch the sunrise some mornings.

perfect time to snap the photo with the bird flying am I right?!
Probably my favorite thing we did the whole trip was go to the Uluwatu temple. It's a temple built on the side of a cliff and absolutely UNREAL. The view is incredible overlooking the Indian Ocean. It's definitely a must see if you ever make it to Bali. There were wild monkeys everywhere too so you could see the monkeys there instead of going to the monkey forest. Although I'm glad we did both! The funniest part of the night at Uluwatu was when a group of Chinese people put down their camera bag to take pictures. Of course, a monkey came and snatched it so fast and started heading towards the cliff. I have never heard so much Chinese yelling in my life! My dad speaks Chinese so I've always kind of made fun of how the language sounds but it was even funnier when they were all yelling. The people tried to chase after it and one guy's flip flop fell off so another monkey came and grabbed his flip flop hahah so sad. The other monkey with the camera bag went down the side of the cliff so unfortunately they never got that back but somehow they did end up getting his flip flop back. Hilarious I tell you!

trying to get his flip flop back ha
soooooo pretty

And of course our nights usually ended with some nightly entertainment at our hotel and walks on the beach with my love.

Overall this trip was such a blast. Wouldn't have wanted to spend 2 weeks in Bali with anyone else besides Andrew! He's the best friend ever and funnest travel companion. I'm so excited to look forward to yearly trips for the rest of my life...Seriously so blessed to have this wonderful life with him!

P.S. If we had known more about Bali we probably would have booked just 1 week in Bali and 1 week in Australia instead of the 2 weeks in Bali. You definitely could see a lot of the big touristy things in the one week. We obviously didn't do and see everything there is to do there but I felt like we did all the major things. So I definitely recommend that if anyone is planning a trip over there!

Until next years anniversary trip....possibly Europe!
